lakeside park & rose garden

Have not had the opportunity to visit for many years. Stopped in last September 2014 and found it challenging to visit for more then a few minutes. Maybe wrong time of the year. Probably much more interesting if a wedding would have been going on!

This is a beautiful location for photos of all kinds, and unfortunately. Everyone knows it. On nice days, you may be fighting numerous other photographers and clients for the same shot. Regardless, it's a nice place to visit and has a decent playground for younger children.

This is a terrific spot to visit in summer when roses in bloom. Weddings take place here but it can be a nice place to meditate or just walk around. Play area for kids.

This is a nice little park with rose gardens and ponds that have paths you can walk around. I've seen a few weddings there too. It is right next to a beautiful historic neighborhood (Forest Park, I think) We walk through there too. Just a nice relaxing place :)

Pretty in the summer, good play ground for children. Nice central location in Fort Wayne. Plenty of tables and benches for relaxing and watching the ducks

The park is small with the rose area, court areas, and a small pond. This is probably the smallest Fort Wayne park but the rose and flower areas extremely well taken care of and beautiful. However, if you do not go in the early morning then the traffic noise will over take the sceneries as people cruise to and from downtown on the back streets. The area for the roses is about half a football field and has a great variety of roses. Many come to have their pictures taken with the different roses.

lovely little park, but its covered in goose poop, on pair of pretty white swans would keep that "lake" clear of the geese and your sidewalks and grass would be much cleaner

this park is beautifully taken care of. loved taking kids to play here. lots of attraction. made for a great day. will return for ice skating next winter hopefully!

When in season you will want to come here, many weddings are preformed here with the beauty of the park. On weekends parking can be of a challenge

This is the place if you want charm and romance.! Proposals .. weddings.. receptions .. etc. Its the perfect place for romance for sure !

We love riding our bikes to this area where we never fail to enjoy the well groomed rose bushes and other flowers in the park. Lakeside Park had a legacy in our town for happy gatherings and beautiful surroundings. Lots of great memories made here, and look forward to many more weddings, graduations, and other events to attend! We very much appreciate having this lovely park to enjoy.

My husband and I got married here several years ago when all the flowers were in full bloom. Everywhere you go, you are surrounded by beautiful rose gardens and the smell is heavenly. Our photographer was able to take some beautiful pictures near the pond with a fountain in the background. There were also architectural and floral archways and garden ponds. This is a popular wedding place. There were always people walking through but were respectful of our privacy during our wedding and afterwards during picture taking.

This place is beautiful in the spring and summer. We have had our pictures done there a few times. But watch out for some shady/questionable people walking by.

This is a nice park near downtown Fort Wayne. Some very nice flowers, fountains and walking areas. But the grass and sidewalks had a lot of old and new duck/geese droppings. I can't imagine running barefoot through this park! Limited parking except along the street.

We like to take people here who have not been to Fort Wayne before. It is such a pretty historic area of Fort Wayne, and it's nice that it's free to walk around and enjoy the lovely gardens.
