A very intimate setting , interesting show and kept us entertained the whole time. The bath washing scene was out favorite . It is a small, dark and very quiet setting, very unique and nice unless... You you suffer for hysterical laughter as my mom and I do in such settings, OMG, we couldn't even look at each other the first few minutes and we just kept shaking with laughter we were trying to stiffen . A last we pulled it together and enjoyed the show .

Beautiful stories told with an amazing set of old time puppets. Emotional and dramatic, they will make you feel the full array of emotions from happiness and laughter to extreme sadness and unexpected shock and a definite when in paraty. Appropriate for singles, couples and families... fully recommended.

FANTASTIC show! Simple but so exquisitely different and delicate. The puppets are made to perfection and the manipulators make them seem so incredibly life like! Make sure you book ahead at a tourist shop ( we booked with the one behind the church with the plaza in the old town) it costs R40 each. Our hostel was selling them for the same price too though! The theatre only holds about 100-120 but ours was completely booked out. Lasted an hour with different 7 scenes. We has seats 2nd row from the front and the detail In the puppets was noticeable. Not sure if you would have the same appreciation at the back ( even though it was a tiny theatre.)An amazing experience if you appreciate the beauty of the arts.

This marvellous puppetry piece is a must do in Paraty. We are avid theatre goers and this exceeded our expectations. The show goes for one hour and is made up of 7 short stories. It is literally breathtaking, almost to the point that it is surreal as the puppet masters make the puppets look like real people from wiping away tears with handkerchiefs to scratching a leg - they come alive before your very eyes. The stories kept short and sweet really captivate and connect with the audience from the flirting between an elderly couple, two young people falling in love to a birth. The puppets and set design is in itself, incredible works of art. There is no dialogue only music, light and sound. The puppet show has been going for 30 years and has been shown in rio to New York. We pre-booked at one of the tour booking agents, which I recommend that you do because we got really good seats! Alternatively you can turn up at 8.30pm when the doors open and buy them at the door. Tickets are 40R each, very reasonably priced and they are the same price if you book through an agency or at the door on the night. Get there 15 minutes early - the show starts at 9pm sharp. Adults only, over the age of 17. Such a breathtaking, moving and incredible artistic performance - a must do.

Wonderful series of character vignettes told in a theatrical and engaging way. Magical: even when you know it is simply articulated dolls manipulated by two actors, you can't help believing that they are individual characters with deep and meaningful stories to tell. Book early- it's an intimate theatre and it was full.

We should confess we did expected more. But it is a very unique Theater, with soul and very strong messages. They are simple, so simple that sometimes borders on the amateurish, but this theater group impresses and thrills for the content of a performance with strong emotional content. Worth it.

The puppeteer use puppets to tell a story in a series of short plays. The puppets movements mimic human gestures and actions; appearing very life like. Two of the vignettes contain adult content. It is a very petite theater of approx. 50 seats; reservations recommended.

Hermosa experiencia, las historias son cortas y es bueno dejarse llevar por estos bellos bonecos que son manipulados uno se mete tanto que en la última historia parece que cobran vida propia. El grupo tienen mucha trayectoria y lo que hacen es muy interesante. Volvería sin dudarlo. Muy recomendable.

Como é um trabalho minucioso, cheio de detalhes a dica é garantir um lugar nas primeiras fileiras. Para isso, é necessário ir durante a tarde para comprar os ingressos, lembrando que no ato da compra você pode escolher sua cadeira.

Compre cedo.os hotéis vendem e já reservam a cadeira. Marque um jantar depois do evento, pois a peça não eh demorada.

Linda peça de teatro, realmente imperdível. O espetáculo com os bonecos é surpreendente, sendo os movimentos suaves, e bem detalhados.

Teatro de bonecos destinado a adultos, algo que não se encontra em outras cidades do país. Espetáculo com duração aproximada de 40 minutos, em sala localizada no centro histórico. Observar que não se apresenta todos os dias.

Uma quebra na rotina de encher os olhos e fazer refletir. Os bonecos são muito delicados e a riqueza de detalhes te coloca dentro das narrativas, do cotidiano, das sutilezas... É um tipo de arte que não se vê rotineiramente. Agora está em cartaz "Em Concerto" e vale muito assistir. Nós compramos o ingresso assim que chegamos à cidade, na quinta, para garantir os melhores lugares. As fileiras A e C são as mais estratégicas. Não é um programa para crianças.

Não perca o espetáculo dos bonecos, emociona e surpreende. Compre o ingresso com antecedência e vá tranquilo, o espaço é pequeno. Fica localizado no belo centro histórico.

Eu tive a felicidade e o privilégio de participar do Grupo Contadores de Estórias nos anos 80, como musicista, e posso garantir que a experiência mudou pra sempre a minha vida. Na época, chegamos a formar uma cooperativa com 23 pessoas, entre atores, músicos (a banda chegou a ter 7 pessoas), motorista (tínhamos uma kombi que nos levou até o festival de teatro de Curitiba) e produção. É um dos trabalhos artísticos mais bonitos e bem feitos que eu já vi. Marcos e Raquel Ribas (que já nos deixou) são de uma competência realmente fora do comum. Já trabalharam com grandes bonecos, em estrutura de até 4 metros de altura, mas foi nos pequenos bonecos que eles conseguiram superar todas as expectativas. Os espetáculos são belos e poéticos. Eu compus a trilha sonora da peça Mansamente e fico sempre hipnotizada quando toco as músicas, lembrando da leveza e poesia do espetáculo. Garanto que é imperdível.
